Rev. Demi “Day” McCoy is an award-winning rapper, preacher, speaker, poet, and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. Identifying as a non-monogamous pansexual genderflux artist, Demi embodies queer justice every time she takes the stage or speaks into a microphone. Her talents have placed her in front of audiences at Taste of DC, the Trinity International Hip-Hop Festival, and Artists Unite!

 

She has also opened for notable acts including T.I., Taylor Bennett, Blitz the Ambassador, and Raheem DeVaughn. Demi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Pepperdine University, a Master of Divinity from Wake Forest University School of Divinity, and a Certificate of Ordination to Gospel Ministry from the Progressive National Baptist Convention.

 

In addition to her hip-hop profession, Demi works at Wake Forest University School of Divinity as the Assistant Director of Public Religious Leadership and she serves at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC as an associate minister.
